Tranås
Many people travel long distances in order to experience one of the widest shopping streets in Sweden, the main street in Tranås. The small boulevard offers a good mix of pleasant shops together with cafés, restaurants and art galleries.
Just outside the city centre you will find Lake Sommen, the real heart of the area. The strikingly beautiful surroundings of the lake offer pleasures of the countryside and many activities.
In the countryside as well as in central Tranås you will find handicraft, farm shops, cafés, restaurants, tourist attractions and a lot more.
Boxholm
Boxholm lies in the northern part of the Sommen Lake District. Here you can buy locally made cheeses, marmalades and handicraft. The road between Boxholm and Malexander is very beautiful and gives the visitor an unforgettable memory.
Ydre
The biggest island in Lake Sommen is called Torpön. Here you can have lunch or dinner, go on a picnic and enjoy the beautiful scenary, visit local craftsmen, go hiking or cycling.
There are also many beautiful places to visit in the Ydre area.
